Ecore, a company that transforms reclaimed waste into unique surfaces, is proud to announce it received a Platinum Award in the 2017 Well Workplace Awards, which was sponsored by LiveWell Lancaster, Central Penn Business Group on Health, and Lighten Up Lancaster County, and was announced at the Lancaster County Health Summit on May 11 at the Lancaster Convention Center. Ecore received a Platinum Award for the third year in a row. This award designates Ecore as achieving a gold-standard in wellness programming.

“We recognize that our employees are our most valuable asset,” said Art Dodge, III, CEO and president of Ecore. “Because our employees are so important to us, we offer a workplace wellness program to support their health and well-being,” said Dodge. This includes providing a health coach on site at both of its plant locations, several times each month, who can provide personal consultations, and holding many different types of fitness-related events and activities throughout the year. This includes sponsoring company-wide volleyball, basketball and soccer games offsite, in addition to offering yoga, Body Pump and Body Combat classes over lunch or after work on site.

Ecore applied for the Well Workplace Award by filling out a Worksite Health Scorecard from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which assesses how well Ecore’s wellness program addresses key health issues, such as heart disease, depression, diabetes, and obesity.

Ecore is proud to encourage healthy lifestyles and is excited to continue to encourage and foster workplace wellness efforts moving forward! To learn more about Ecore visit: http://www.ecoreintl.com/.
